Structural Advice

Bannockburn
The beautiful alpine environment we live in has inspired many to build here.  If your build requires something outside the box then Derek has the expertise to help.

His framing design for this Bannockburn build has enabled the owners to make their dream home a reality.

Historic Structures

TSS Earnslaw
Maintaining our historic heritage requires sympathetic solutions that meet the latest standards and will stand up to the rigours of time.

His design for the footings of the steam driven winch for the TSS Earnslaw allows the Lady of the Lake to be safely raised from the water for her annual repairs.

High Altitude Buildings

Plateau Hut helicopter
Building at altitude presents a particular set of challenges such as wind loading, freeze/thaw, rocky foundations and access issues.

With proven experience in this environment, particularly with structures assembled using helicopter transport, Derek can help ensure the success of projects like this new toilet block at Plateau Hut.
